Olivia has worked as the Marketing Manager for Jim Barry Wines for over 10 years, overseeing branding, communications, packaging and promotion both domestically and overseas. She completed market immersions in the USA and UK in 2010 before joining the Jim Barry team in Clare on a full time basis. 

In 2016, Olivia completed her Masters of Wine Business from the University of Adelaide. In addition to her work at the winery, Olivia now also manages the family’s accommodation business- Jim Barry Boutique Accommodation. 

Olivia is the Vice-Chair of the Clare Valley Wine and Grape Association. She has been a member of the South Australian Wine Industry Association Executive Committee since 2019 and is Chair of the SAWIA Marketing and Industry Development Committee.

Ali Paulett hold the position of Managing Director of Paulett Wines. Since taking on a leadership role, Ali has been instrumental in driving the winery’s success through strategic industry partnerships, government collaboration, and innovative business practices.  Her ability to navigate the complexities of the wine industry has strengthened Paulett Wines’ position both nationally and internationally. 

Ali has played a key role in securing opportunities for growth, sustainability initiatives, and regional development, ensuring the business remains at the forefront of a competitive market.  Recognized for her leadership, Ali was awarded the 2023 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award for South Australia. 

She continues to champion collaboration between industry and government, working to enhance regional tourism, community engagement, and business resilience in an evolving landscape. Under her guidance, Paulett Wines continues to thrive, blending tradition with forward-thinking innovation.

Tania Matz is a dedicated advocate for the Clare Valley wine industry, with more than three decades of experience spanning administration, sales, marketing, events, and regional representation.  Growing up in the Clare and Gilbert Valleys, Tania began her wine industry career in 1988 with Penfolds in the Barossa Valley, followed by a period with Lindeman’s in the Hunter Valley before returning to the Clare Valley in 1992. 

In 2011, Tania accepted a role with the Clare Winemakers Association, representing the region’s wine brands at a local, state and national level. In 2015, she was appointed Executive Officer, leading initiatives that delivered lasting benefits to the region.  

Today, as Tasting Room Manager at Knappstein Wines, Tania continues to combine her deep regional knowledge, industry expertise, and strong advocacy to promote the Clare Valley and its producers.

James Meyer is Vineyard Manager at Hill River Wines in the Polish Hill River sub-region and also owns and manages his own vineyard in the Clare Valley. He brings more than 30 years of viticultural experience across three distinctly different wine regions – Sunraysia, the Barossa Valley and Clare Valley.

James has extensive experience representing grape growers and agricultural industries, including 14 years with the Robinvale & District Grape Growers Association and 10 years with the Victorian & Murray Valley Wine Grape Growers Council. He has also served on the Clare Grape Grower Committee and represents Clare Valley on the Wine Grape Council of South Australia. His broader industry experience includes roles with the TWE Growers Relations Committee and the Pistachio Growers Association.

James brings a broad grower perspective to the CVWGA Board and a strong understanding of the structural challenges facing the wine industry. Passionate about the future of the Clare Valley, he is committed to supporting a thriving regional wine industry and strengthening Clare Valley’s reputation as a destination for premium wine and regional experiences.

Jarrad Steele is a Clare Valley local, born and raised, with a lifelong connection to the region and its renowned wine industry. He began his career in 2005 as a vintage cellar hand at Leasingham Wines, before joining Kilikanoon Wines in 2006, where he developed his skills while completing a Certificate III in Cellar Operations.

Jarrad completed a Bachelor of Wine Science at Charles Sturt University in 2016 whilst working at Kilikanoon as Assistant Winemaker, where he refined his craft and played a key role in producing premium Clare Valley wines.

In 2018, Jarrad gained valuable international experience during a vintage at Château Montelena in Napa Valley. Later that year, he returned home to join Paulett Wines, where he is now Senior Winemaker, leading the winemaking program with a focus on quality, regional expression, and consistency.

Committed to the future of the Clare Valley, Jarrad was selected for the inaugural Clare Valley Wine & Grape Association Next Crop Leadership Program in 2022. He also serves as Chair of the Clare Valley Wine Show Committee, actively supporting the region’s ongoing excellence and reputation.

Jamie Pike is Managing Director of Pikes Wines, a family-owned Clare Valley wine business established in 1984. With more than 15 years of wine industry experience across sales, marketing and management, Jamie returned to the family business in 2016 and was appointed Managing Director in 2022.

Jamie oversees the strategic and commercial direction of Pikes Wines, encompassing wine production, domestic and export sales, hospitality, direct-to-consumer operations and vineyard management. He holds a Bachelor of Wine Marketing from the University of Adelaide and was selected for Wine Australia's Future Leaders program in 2023, where he explored succession planning and long-term sustainability in family wine businesses.

Jamie brings strong commercial, marketing and strategic planning expertise to the CVWGA Board, together with a commitment to supporting the long-term success and resilience of the Clare Valley wine industry.

Marnie Roberts is an accomplished winemaker with more than 30 years of experience in the Australian wine industry, spanning winemaking, vineyard management, consulting and brand development. Her career has included senior winemaking roles at Kirrihill Wines and Claymore Wines in the Clare Valley, as well as Winegrapes Australia, where she worked closely with growers and producers across South Australia.

Marnie is the owner and winemaker of Matriarch & Rogue, a Clare Valley wine brand established in 2014, recognised for its distinctive wines and innovative approach to alternative varieties. Alongside developing her own brand, she provides winemaking and vineyard consultancy services and contract winemaking for other producers.

With extensive experience across both large-scale wine production and boutique operations, Marnie brings valuable technical expertise, commercial insight and a strong understanding of the challenges facing growers and winemakers to the CVWGA Board.
