The South Australian Wine Ambassadors Club (SAWAC) brings together an international network of wine advocates to share in the splendour of South Australian wines.
Led by Patrons, James Halliday AM and Tony Love, members will build awareness and knowledge of South Australian wines, be exposed to buying opportunities from our local winemakers, have personal access to highly distinguished wine experts, receive official endorsement from the South Australian Government and other valuable benefits.
The Government of South Australia established SAWAC as part of the Wine Export Recovery and Expansion Program to create an international network of advocates who share a passion for South Australian wine. Ambassadors’ endorsement will contribute to raising the profile, reputation, and awareness of South Australian wine internationally, as well as influencing their communities to drive sales through targeted trade and educational initiatives.
The Clare Valley Wine and Grape Association were delighted to host SAWAC today at Sevenhill Cellars for a trade tasting. Seven local wineries and sixteen wine importers from South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, India and Vietnam participated in the event, organised through the Department for Trade and Investment. SAWAC brings together an international network of wine advocates to share in the splendour of South Australian wines. Importers in the program are committed to adding new South Australian wines to their portfolios and act as global advocates and ambassadors for our state's wine sector.
Thank you to all involved.
